Wildlife Ecologist
Brian was born and raised in Golden, and has extensive knowledge of the local wildlife and landscape. He holds an MSc. in Environment and Management, as well as many years of experience in the forestry and environmental sectors. Brian has particular expertise in ornithology, forestry, ungulate ecology and project management.
GIS Specialist and Biologist
Aita was born and raised in the Columbia Valley. She has a particular interest in landscape ecology, plants (particularly alpine), ecosystem modelling, and supporting First Nations self-determination with GIS capacity. She has experience in mining, forestry, and conservation.
GIS Specialist
Ethan is a GIS professional with a background in fish and wildlife conservation, land management, and remote sensing. He attended Selkirk College where he obtained a Diploma in Recreation, Fisheries, and Wildlife (RFW) and an Advanced Diploma in Geographic Information Systems(ADGIS), which fused his passion for the environment with cutting-edge technologies. He has contributed to projects developing habitat suitability models, supporting environmental assessments, emergency response planning and drone-enabled remote sensing. His expertise lies in applying GIS technology to create actionable maps and conducting spatial analysis to inform decision-making.
Intermediate Biologist
Steph brings extensive international experience with an MSc. in Fish and Wildlife Management from SLU in Sweden, and has worked on leopard ecology in South Africa, molecular ecology of wolverines in Scandinavia, and freshwater ecosystems in Scotland. She is interested in recreation ecology, landscape ecology, and genetic methods.
Junior Biologist
Kellie is a Biologist in Training with three years of experience in environmental consulting and wildlife research. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Sciences and has experience completing large mammal transects, breeding bird nest surveys, small mammal trapping, radio collaring and tracking, and amphibian larval surveys. She is passionate about wildlife management and conservation.
Field Expert
Leonard is a skilled naturalist and hunter with years of experience in the local backcountry. He has endless skills to apply to any field situation, and is a real asset whether on breeding bird surveys, setting trail cameras, or counting elk pellets.
